Hi, I’m Tessa—the face behind the lens at Moments by Tessa Photography!

Believe it or not, I actually studied photography for four years before making a big U-turn into the world of dentistry. Yep—you’re looking at the Head Dental Nurse at a lovely practice in Newbury! While I’ve loved my journey in healthcare, my heart has always been drawn back to photography—especially capturing weddings and life’s most beautiful, unscripted moments.

Funny enough, it all started (again) around a dining table. I was chatting with my boyfriend and his mum about her upcoming wedding when I casually asked, “Have you sorted your photographer yet?” To my surprise, she said, “Well actually, I was hoping you could do it!” I was nervous, but I said yes—and the rest is history. That day reminded me exactly why I fell in love with photography in the first place.

I’ve always been passionate about storytelling through candid, real, emotion-filled photos—but I was just waiting for the right moment (and a little push) to leap into it fully. Now that my studies are complete and I have more time to dedicate to what I love, I’m finally chasing that dream.

There’s something incredibly powerful about being invited into someone’s most cherished moments. As a wedding and life event photographer, I get to witness love, connection, and celebration in its purest form. From the quiet, emotional glances to the loud, joyful laughter—each moment holds a story, and I feel deeply honored to capture it. Photography allows me to freeze those fleeting seconds and turn them into lasting memories that couples and families can treasure for years to come.
What I love most is the rawness and authenticity of it all. No two love stories or life milestones are the same, and that uniqueness inspires me every single time I pick up my camera.
